(VOVworld) - National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, in Beijing on Thursday as part of an official visit to China. He said he hopes for support from Yu and his agency for the joint work of the two legislatures.

Chairman Hung underscored Vietnam’s stance on settling differences, stressing the need to fully respect the legitimate interests of each country in accordance with international law. Yu said the Vietnam-China joint maritime, land, infrastructure, and finance committees have begun their work. He said that based on their similarities Vietnam and China can settle existing differences through negotiations.
