Mr. Hien highlighted VOV's achievements after nearly 80 years of its establishment, saying VOV has become one of the key, multi-media, multi-platform agencies and contributed actively and effectively to Vietnam’s development and extensive international integration.

Voice of Vietnam and Yunnan Media Group have established a deep, special cooperative relationship for years, he said. Both signed a cooperation document in 2005, and every year send delegations of leaders and reporters to each other's country for a visit, work, and experience exchange.

This has helped strengthen cooperation and understanding between the two stations as well as to Vietnam-China communication relations, according to VOV Vice President Ngo Minh Hien.

“The cooperation memorandum is the basis for our future cooperation. VOV has a lot of potential to collaborate with all Chinese partners, especially Yunnan Media Group. We will work harder to make our cooperation more effective and relevant,” Mr. Hien said.

Mr. He Yaning said that Yunnan Media Group and the Voice of Vietnam should inherit and further the friendship between China and Vietnam and expressed his wish to continue working with VOV.

“This time, the delegation and I visit Vietnam and we sincerely wish for stronger cooperation between the two sides as well as the common development of each side through press and communication cooperation."

"It’s necessary to ramp up the reporting and promote the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between China and Vietnam. We also hope that this advance business trip will be a premise for the two sides to continue to broaden exchange and cooperation,” Mr. He said.
