(VOVWORLD) - “The Song of Triumph” will headline a series of events organized by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and national reunification, and the upcoming 80th founding anniversary of VOV.

The program features VOV's distinctive hallmark, reflecting its important role in spreading news of the historic victory on April 30, 1975, a sacred moment in the nation's history.
The program provides a platform for historical witnesses, veterans, artists, and veteran journalists who participated in the events of April 30, 1975, to share their stories and accounts, helping the viewers better understand the value of peace, independence, and freedom.
Ngo Thieu Phong, Editor-in-Chief of the VOV Online Newspaper, said: "In this program, we aim to recapture the atmosphere at VOV on April 30, 1975, particularly in the studio where the announcers broadcast the victory news. We want to honor those who first received the news, those who had the privilege of sharing this momentous event with the nation and the world, announcing: 'Vietnam has been totally unified!"
The program will be held at the Hanoi Opera House at 8 PM on Friday, broadcast live on the VOV1 and VOV3 radio channels, and streamed online at vov.vn.
