(VOVworld)-The National Assembly has held a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss the activities of its member delegations and the role played by fulltime deputies.

Workshop on NA delegations and full-time deputies opens

Participants agreed on the necessity and importance of National Assembly deputy delegations and fulltime deputies in understanding the public aspiration and raising legal awareness. They urged the National Assembly Standing Committee to issue a guideline on the relationship between National Assembly delegations and People’s Councils and Committees as well as local Fatherland Fronts. They called for amendments to the Laws on National Assembly Organization and Election. Deputy Nguyen Thi Nuong is the Head of the National Assembly Deputies’ Work Committee:“Fulltime deputies have played an important role in improving the efficiency of the legislative body. Different provinces should further facilitate the work by deputies and National Assembly delegations to improve legislative performance.”
