(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and Ho Chi Minh City’s Vietnamese US Friendship Association held a workshop on Friday to on the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the normalization of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations. The Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement negotiation captured attention of many participants. Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Tran Tuan Anh, who was a former general consul in San Francisco, praised huge opportunities for businesses in the areas of textile and garment, agricultural products and wooden furniture when they are exported to the US. The American general consul in Ho Chi Minh City, Rena Bitter, said bilateral relations have been dynamic following the historic visit to the US by Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong. Both countries will strengthen cooperation for security and prosperity.
