World Economic Forum 2020 opens in Davos

(VOVWORLD) - The 50th World Economic Forum (WEF 2020) opened in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday.

The event welcomed 3,000 representatives from 117 nations, including 53 heads of state. The Vietnamese delegation is led by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.

This year’s WEF hopes to be one of the best international summits, as decisions made here will affect the future of humanity. WEF 2020 will promote an economy that reduces waste and resource consumption, and focuses on reuse and recycling. The forum’s goal is to reduce waste by 25% this year by introducing new designs, promoting reuse, and eliminating single-use plastic containers.
