World leaders congratulate Joe Biden on his victory
(VOVWORLD) - World leaders on Sunday sent congratulations to Joe Biden after US media confirmed his victory in the US presidential election.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Monday South Korea will ensure there is no gap in the alliance with the United States and the process of building peace on the Korean peninsula, as he congratulated Joe Biden. Mr. Moon said the South Korean government will work to promote economic relations through bilateral trade and policies and cooperate towards carbon neutrality and tackle climate change.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said on Twitter that he believes in a bright future relationship with Washington.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said he hopes the new US government will resume the US’s commitments to the international community. Mr. Biden promised the US would return to the nuclear deal signed with Iran in 2015 if he won the election and Tehran was still committed to the deal.
Iraqi President Barham Saleh congratulated Mr. Biden and said he hopes the two countries will cooperate to achieve common goals and strengthen Middle East peace and stability.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he hopes to cooperate with the new US President. Jordan’s King Abdullah II said he hopes Jordan’s cooperation with Mr. Biden’s administration will boost their bilateral relationship.
Nigerian and South African leaders said they want to strengthen cooperation with the US in economy, diplomacy, politics, and anti-terrorism.
