World leaders send condolences to Vietnam for typhoon Yagi

(VOVWORLD) - Leaders around the world have sent messages of condolence to Vietnam for the severe damage inflicted by typhoon Yagi and its subsequent floods and landslides.

Singapore’s Prime Minister, Thailand’s King and Prime Minister, and the UK’s Prime Minister all declared their country prepared to help Vietnam recover from the typhoon’s devastation.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed his admiration for the extraordinary efforts of the Vietnamese government, military, police, and local authorities in responding to the disaster.

The Sultan of Brunei, the German Chancellor, the King of Spain, the President of the European Commission, the King of Norway, the President of Uzbekistan, and leaders of the Communist Parties of India, Portugal, and France also expressed their sympathy to Vietnam for the loss of lives and property caused by Yagi.
