(VOVWORLD) - Across Vietnam, local authorities are rolling out activities to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Streets are beautifully decorated while community campaigns on building cultural life and strengthening national unity have been promoted. All people are expecting and confident in a new stage of national development.

In Hanoi, streets have taken on a festive look in recent days, lined with red Party flags, national flags, and banners and posters welcoming the Congress. Flower beds, decorative displays and ornamental plants have been refreshed to make the capital beautiful and festive throughout the Congress. An atmosphere of anticipation has spread throughout neighborhoods and public spaces, reflecting Hanoi residents’ pride and confidence ahead of one of the country’s most important political milestones.
Pham Tuan Long, director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, said Hanoi has completed its preparations: “As part of preparations for the 14th National Party Congress, which will take place in the coming days, Hanoi has launched a citywide communication campaign and decorated along the routes leading to the National Convention Center. All 126 wards and communes, and major streets have been decorated.”
With achievements and sound policy decisions made over the past years, Hanoi residents say they believe the Congress will be a success and will set key directions for building a stronger, more prosperous country.

“Hanoi has made thorough preparations for the 14th National Party Congress, people are excited to see slogans, banners, national flags, and Party flags everywhere. As a young person, I’m happy to be part of the atmosphere of the Congress. I’m proud to witness the milestone our country enters a new chapter,” said Pham Hanh Thuy, a resident of Ba Dinh ward,
Nguyen Van Thuyet of Hoan Kiem ward told VOV: “We believe that the 14th National Party Congress marks a new era, one of national growth, economic development, security, and peace. People hope the Congress will choose leaders who are committed, visionary, ethical, capable, and truly qualified.”
As the rest of the country looks ahead to the Congress, ethnic minority villages in Dak Lak province have stepped up efforts to promote a cultured lifestyle, protect the environment, and strengthen national unity.

H Ly A Knul, Secretary of the Youth Union of Drang Phok village, Buon Don commune, Dak Lak province, said: “Youth Union members in Drang Phok village have cleaned the village and organized communications events to welcome the 14th National Party Congress. We hope the Congress will introduce policies that support young people in border areas, giving them a better chance to start a business and boost the local economy.”
Nguyen Trang Anh Thu, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Youth Union in Ca Mau, Vietnam’s southernmost province, described the Congress as a source of hope for new, practical policies for the national development in the new period.

“As a Youth Union member from the southernmost point of Vietnam, I hope the Congress will adopt decisions and policies that prioritize education and outreach to young people as well as stronger support for job creation and entrepreneurship. We want policies that create better conditions for Ca Mau to become a hub for green growth,” said Thu.
People throughout Vietnam are looking forward to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a major milestone expected to shape a new phase of national development. The Congress is linked to Vietnam’s 100-year vision with two strategic goals of becoming an upper middle income industrial country by 2030, the Party’s 100th anniversary, and becoming a developed, high income, wealthy, prosperous, civilized and happy nation by 2045, 100 years after the nation’s founding.
