(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia held a year-end party on Sunday for the Vietnamese community living and working in Russia to celebrate Tet.

Participants enjoyed traditional dishes and performances by local Vietnamese. Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh wished them a New Year of good health, prosperity and unity for more practical contribution to the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.

“The Embassy has held year-end reunion parties annually for the Vietnamese community and businesses to meet and ease their home nostalgia. This has fostered our union and helped us feel more rejuvenated. I would like to wish all Vietnamese good health, happiness and success,” said Vu Dinh Tho, First Vice President of the Vietnamese community born in Hai Duong province.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Paris held a similar celebration the other day.

“We have held many activities to celebrate Tet, including square sticky rice cakes making and traditional performances. This is an opportunity to promote our homeland culture and images to foreign friends,” said Nguyen Anh Quan who is working in Paris.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Chile held a New Year celebration on Sunday with the participation of local Vietnamese and the mother of former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, a time-honored friend of Vietnam.
