Program to support Agent Orange victims launched in Da Nang
(VOVworld) – The Da Nang Association of AO victims has launched a program to raise funds to help thousands of AO victims including 200 children in Da Nang.
Nguyen Thi Hien is Vice Chairwoman of the Association: "The Sharing the pain with Agent Orange victims program called on organizations and individuals inside and outside the country to support to the Agent Orange/ dioxin victims at 3 centers and help the other victims to integrate into the society".
Da Nang city is now home to more than 5,000 AO victims, 1,500 of whom are children. Da Nang city Association of AO victims has managed to raise around 1.45 million USD to build houses and buy wheelchairs for AO victims. Donors also donated another 1.45 million USD and 20 wheelchairs to the AO victims in the city.
