(VOVworld) - National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung pledged successful hosting of the 132^nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union or IPU in 2015.

Speaking the launching ceremony of the state steering committee and organization board for the event, Hung said that Vietnam ’s hosting of the event marks its major progress in parliamentarian diplomacy: “Vietnam will cooperate closely with IPU agencies to develop a practical and efficient agenda reflecting priorities by both sides. This is an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its foreign policy, history and traditions as well as the increasing role by the Vietnamese National Assembly.”
