Vietnam’s sea police ship launched
(VNA) - A company under the Defense Ministry on Tuesday launched the DN 2000 ship, one of the most advanced ships used by the Vietnamese marine police.
The ship is used for patrols over Vietnam’s sea and islands to ensure marine law enforcement and rescue missions. It was designed by the Netherlands’ Damen company and transferred technology after 20 months of building. The ship can withstand the ninth level strength of waves and winds, and operate at sea for 40 consecutive days. With the length of 90 meters and width of 14 meters, the ship can also tug ships of 2,200 DWT (dead weight tons). Its operation scope can cover 5,000 sea miles.
