(VOVWORLD) - This week we warmly welcome the return of Felix Gurevich of the US. He has been listening to VOV on and off over the past 20 years in the US. This week he contacted VOV again by sending 4 reception reports for VOV’s programs that he listened to while he was in Portugal on July 10th, 11th, 15th and 16th.

(VOVWORLD) - First on our show today, we’d like to welcome to VOV a new listener from the US, Mr. Robert Page, who reported an excellent signal for our show from July 28 on the frequency of 7315 khz.

(VOVWORLD) - First, we’d like to congratulate Muslims around the world on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha or the "Festival of the Sacrifice", the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide every year.

(VOVWORLD) - This week we sent our greetings to Saif Khan, a 10th grader and President of the Learner Listeners Zone in Bangladesh. He said he visits VOV5’s website regularly and listens to our program on shortwave on 7220khz from 16:00 to 16:30 UTC. Saif Khan said he enjoyed the interesting information about Vietnam broadcasting on shortwave or well documented on the website. The Current Affairs is educative and useful, he said.

(VOVWORLD) - This week, we received a lot of greetings regarding Vietnam’s Hoi An being honored by travel magazine Travel + Leisure and Google Doodle.

(VOVWORLD) - Welcome Brian Keefe who listened to our program for the first time and wrote to us to say he received VOV’s signal on July 16 on 00:20 UTC and rated the signal strength as very strong, at S9+10 most of the time.

(VOVWORLD) - This week, we’d like to welcome back to VOV Mr. Otto Schwartz of the US. It has been a long time since we last heard from you.

(VOVWORLD) - Debakamal Hazarika of India told us that she listened to a program on July 24th on 7280 khz and rated SINPO at 44343. She said the “Colorful Vietnam – Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic Groups” segment taught her a lot about the culture and customs of White Mong women in VN’s Ha Giang province. “I really enjoyed today's show. It was informative and knowledgeable” Hazarika said.

(VOVWORLD) - Many parts of the world are experiencing extreme hot weather. In Vietnam, the central and northern regions were sweltering in scorching heat with temperatures hitting more than 40 degrees Celsius in many places on Saturday and Sunday. The weather got cooler 2 days later but is getting hotter again.
