Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Phuong Anh highlighted the significance of the camp, held for the first time in Rome, saying the event highlights a confident and proactive young generation that embraces international integration while preserving its national identity, and also provides an important platform for building a network of young Vietnamese intellectuals.

The camp serves as a space for nurturing creative ideas, cooperation projects and practical research aimed at contributing to national development. Held annually, the Vietnamese Youth and Student Camp in Europe has become an important event for Vietnamese students and young people living abroad.

Taking place from August 28 to 30, this year’s program features academic exchanges, team-building activities, a start-up forum and practical field experiences. The 12th camp in Rome marks a new step in the development of youth activities within the Vietnamese community overseas, spreading positive energy and strengthening young Vietnamese people’s connection with their homeland.

It also highlights the role of young intellectuals as a bridge connecting Vietnamese communities across Europe.
