Speaking in a press briefing on Thursday, Deputy Head of the Commission and Chief Organizer of the Golden Hammer and Sickle awards, Mai Van Chinh, said a 5 ‘A’, 10 ‘B’, 15 ‘C’ prizes, and 25 consolation prizes will be granted to entries in all forms of media, including newspapers, radio, TV, and multimedia. Mr. Chinh said the award ceremony will take place on February 3, next year, to mark the 89th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam: “In comparison to last year’s contest, there will be additional prizes for individual works and collectives. Last year we had 56 prizes for works and 10 for collectives, this year we will have 60 prizes for individuals and 15 for organizations. Consolation prizes for Party building theory, senior citizens, young participants and overseas Vietnamese will be added.”
