For young Vietnamese living and studying abroad, the visit was an opportunity to learn firsthand about their homeland’s history and traditions through stories and practical activities.
Dang Tu Quynh, President of the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Japan, said: “I’m deeply grateful to the soldiers who, despite intense heat, continue their efforts to recover the remains of fallen heroes. As a student studying abroad, and like many Vietnamese living overseas, I always have my heart set on my homeland and feel deeply grateful to the generations who came before us.”
The overseas Vietnamese youth met with members of the Ho Chi Minh City Resistance Communications Club and heard stories about the war years, the sacrifices made, and the determination of earlier generations.
