The ministers met Tuesday in New York on the sidelines of the high-level general debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
In a joint statement, they expressed deep concern over the continuing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They called on Israel to immediately fulfill its remaining commitments under the first phase of the Comprehensive Plan, including ensuring the safe, rapid, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and early recovery supplies, and facilitating the restoration of essential infrastructure.
The ministers stressed the need to maintain the ceasefire and prevent further violations. According to their statement, the roadmap is an integral part of the Comprehensive Plan and provides the framework for implementing its second phase.
This phase includes disarmament, a full Israeli troop withdrawal, the deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF), the transfer of administrative responsibility for the entire Gaza Strip to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), and the launch of early recovery and reconstruction efforts.
