In his address, the Party chief highlighted Southeast Asia’s steady development, peaceful environment, stability, and cooperation saying they have created favorable conditions for the development of regional countries and ASEAN as a whole. He attributed Vietnam’s achievements in 2017 to the region’s peaceful and stable environment as well as effective cooperation and assistance from the international community including ASEAN.
ASEAN diplomats expressed their belief that Vietnam will achieve further success this year and the years to come. They pledged to fulfill their tasks to strengthen their countries’ relations with Vietnam and relations between ASEAN countries.
