The expressway, which runs between Long An (now part of Tay Ninh Province) and Dong Nai city, is expected to cut travel times by more than an hour, providing residents of the Mekong Delta with faster access to eastern localities, Long Thanh International Airport, and Vung Tau.
The route will also facilitate the movement of goods and agricultural products from the Delta to major seaports, including the Cai Mep-Thi Vai port complex.
