The celebration featured performances by teachers, students, and border guards, as well as decorated feast trays and colorful star-shaped lanterns.
Principal Nguyen Dinh Truong said, "The program shows how much attention Party and State leaders pay to our children. Many of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds. On this occasion they have received very meaningful gifts."
The program will continue in border communes throughout Lai Chau province.
