Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, Head of the Ninh Kieu Department of Culture and Information, said: "We have published books about Ninh Kieu port. We organized a contest to design a logo that makes lantern night the province’s signature. The highlight of lantern night will be 2 artificial dragons flying above the port and 60 lanterns representing Ninh Kieu port’s 60 years. "
The festival will take place from August 10 to 12 in Ninh Kieu promenade park. On the sideline of the event, there will be a lantern logo contest, exhibits of handicraft items, a traditional boat race, and flash mob performance.
