Catalan mayors protest in Brussels

(VOVWORLD) - Approximately 200 Catalan mayors gathered in Brussels on Tuesday to lobby for the freedom of ousted Catalan leaders detained in Spain after demanding independence for Catalonia.

Jose Fuentes, mayor of Pont de Monlins town, said the protestors want the European Union to pressure Spain to free the detainees.
