China will strengthen export controls on dual-use items related to drones destined for the US and take countermeasures against six US entities linked to the Xinjiang issue and the US-based Compliance Testing LLC.

China will also launch a national security investigation into imported office equipment with printing and copying functions that is installed with foreign system software, effective Wednesday.

The measures represent Beijing's response to latest actions by Washington aimed at restricting Chinese technology companies. The Ministry of Commerce also warned that if the US insists on introducing new restrictive measures against China, China will take further countermeasures.
