During a phone call on Tuesday with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Wang said that reopening the Strait of Hormuz and restoring peace and stability to the region are shared aspirations of the international community.
He said he hopes Pakistan will step up its mediation efforts and continue contributing constructively to the peace process. He affirmed China’s support for Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives and its role in promoting regional stability.
Mr. Dar briefed Mr. Wang on recent developments in Pakistan's mediation efforts and said Pakistan is ready to coordinate with Beijing and play a more active role in safeguarding regional peace and stability.
