Themed "From the Land of 'Flowers of Fire' to the Green Jade Bay," the Khanh Hoa culture and tourism event opened Sunday night at the Regal Legend pedestrian street in Dong Hoi ward.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Ha Van Sieu emphasized that the theme "Connecting Heritage, Reaching Towards the Blue Sea" accurately reflects the spirit of tourism development in the new era.

Both provinces need to forge linkages to create products and expand markets, thereby enhancing service quality, he said, stressing the need to extend to other central provinces and combine cultural, historical, and "return-to-roots" tourism with beach leisure, eco-tourism, wellness, gastronomy, and local experiences.

“The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism will continue to partner with Quang Tri, Khanh Hoa, and other localities in the region to promote destinations, develop products, connect markets, boost aviation services, and enhance destination competitiveness. We hope these connections will be replicated so that every new flight route becomes a new driving force, every new tourism itinerary becomes a new product, and every new partnership creates new value for our country.”

The Khanh Hoa Culture and Tourism Days in Quang Tri in 2026 will run until from Tuesday, featuring artistic exchanges and exhibitions. On display are Khanh Hoa’s tourism products, OCOP items, and local cuisine—such as grapes, apples, garlic, bird's nests, and agarwood—as well as exhibits and demonstrations of traditional handicrafts, including Bau Truc pottery making and My Nghiep brocade weaving.
