Con Dao has become a sacred destination where people today honor the memory of more than 20,000 revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for national independence.
“I believe every Vietnamese hopes to visit Con Dao at least once. I was deeply moved when I set foot in the Con Dao prison system,” said Dang Phuong Hai, a visitor from Hanoi.
Trinh Thi Thu Ha, another visitor from Hanoi, shared her feelings, “When we visited Con Dao Prison, we truly felt the indomitable spirit of the revolutionaries. They remained steadfast in their determination to achieve national independence.”
To accommodate the growing number of visitors, the Con Dao Special Zone administration has completed landscape improvements, upgraded lighting systems, and enhanced transportation services.
“We have increased the number of tour guides and are working to create a warm yet solemn atmosphere to mark War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27,” said Pham Thi Tam, Deputy Director of the Con Dao Museum and Library.
