Commenting on socio-economic performance over the past 10 months, PM Phuc described the domestic situation as positive with continued stable macro-economy despite global uncertainty. The average Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 10 months was 3.6%, basic inflation rose 1.43%, and foreign exchange rates were stable. Over the past 10 months, exports reached 200 billion USD, almost equivalent to the figure of the whole year 2017 with an export surplus of 6.4 billion USD. Agricultural produce contributed a great deal to the good performance.

PM pointed difficulties facing businesses, which he said may affect growth momentum of localities and the country. He called on localities, particularly five major cities of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Hai Phong, and Da Nang to improve the business environment to provide greater growth momentum.
