The trilateral meeting themed "Promoting the pioneering role and fulfilling the crucial and regular tasks of Vietnam's foreign policy in the new era" was co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung.
National defense, security, and foreign affairs are closely intertwined in the country's revolutionary cause, the three ministers said. Their coordination is a manifestation of the Communist Party of Vietnam's viewpoint on closely linking socio-economic development with national defense, security, and foreign affairs.
They said that in the face of the high demands for rapid and sustainable national development and early and remote national defense in the current global context, strengthening coordination among the three Ministries of National Defense, Public Security, and Foreign Affairs has become even more urgent.
The three ministers proposed that their affiliates effectively implement the coordination regulations and innovate methods to better meet the requirements in the new phase of national development.
