Participants are transported to Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi on September 2, 1945, joining the crowd as they look toward the rostrum and listen to President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence.
“Retelling the story of Independence Day through a new medium not only demonstrates VOV’s innovation in technology and communications, but also enables us to continue fulfilling our responsibility as a key national press agency to preserve, pass on and spread the historical values of our nation,” VOV Deputy Director General Ngo Minh Hien said at the opening ceremony.
Nguyen Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the program is not simply a technological experience but also an emotional bridge that helps today’s generation gain a deeper understanding of the value of independence and freedom, as well as the immense sacrifices made by previous generations.
“I feel incredibly proud to experience this virtual reality journey back to that sacred moment. When I watched it, everything felt so real. I felt as if I were actually living through that historic moment. I was deeply moved,” said Da Nang resident Tran Ngoc Quang.
The “Back to the Sacred Moment” experience will run through Friday.
