Nhat Anh was one of five students representing Vietnam at this year's competition. The team also included Nguyen Vu Manh Khang from Le Quy Don Specialized High School in Gia Lai province, Luong Duc Gia Bao from Hung Vuong Specialized High School in Phu Tho, and Nguyen Thanh Trung and Hoang Van Thai Son, both from Bac Ninh Specialized High School.
Contestants competed in 2 rounds including a 5-hour theoretical exam and a 5-hour practical test. In addition to Nhat Anh's Gold Medal, the other four members of the Vietnamese team each won a Silver Medal.
The EuPhO is one of the world’s most prestigious international physics competitions for high school students, attracting many strong teams from around the world. This year's competition was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from June 12-16.
