Addressing a government preparatory meeting for the event on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said that the important regional forum will attract a large number of regional heads of state or government officials and up to 1,000 participants. The Prime Minister has directed ministries and related agencies to prepare well for the event. The forum will take place on September 11-13 under the theme ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Participants will discuss issues ranging from the region’s geopolitical friction points to entrepreneurship and employment in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. They will do so with the help of leaders of 100 early-stage start-ups, whose companies represent the dynamic nature of the entrepreneurial spirit of ASEAN.
