The countries also reviewed the implementation of trade agreements with partners, including Vietnam. The meeting was attended by the heads of government of the five EAEU member states, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, along with representatives of several partner and observer countries.
At the meeting, food security was discussed in depth, particularly amid climate change and water shortages. In logistics, the EAEU continued to promote the digitalization of rail freight transport. The meeting also reviewed progress in implementing the EAEU’s existing trade agreements with Vietnam, Iran and Serbia, with a focus on removing tariff and non-tariff barriers.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads of government of the EAEU member countries signed a package of documents, including three agreements concerning electronic trade within the EAEU, mutual recognition of scientific degrees, and the possibility of mutual participation of brokers and dealers in stock market trading.
