Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and Prime Minister Le Minh Hung sent congratulatory flowers to the event. Speaking at the ceremony held on Saturday in Hanoi, Chairman Man urged the Economic Police force to continue to vigorously innovate its mindset, methods, and operational approaches.
The top legislator asked the force to take the lead in applying science and technology to proactively identify emerging risks to economic, financial, data, and supply chain security as economic crimes are becoming more and more sophisticated. He stressed the importance of personnel development, requiring officers to possess steadfast political mettle and absolute loyalty to the Party, the State, and the People.
Officers must demonstrate integrity, impartiality, and objectivity; be proficient in law, professional operations, technology, IT, and foreign languages; be capable of working in an international environment.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said, “The Economic Police force has a glorious 70-year tradition, steadfast political mettle, wisdom, and dedication. Under the direct, absolute, and comprehensive leadership of the Party and State—specifically the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security—and with the support of ministries, agencies, local authorities, and the People, the force will achieve greater feats and successes. They will prove themselves worthy of being a ‘sharp sword’ in the fight against crime and a ‘solid steel shield’—absolutely loyal and trustworthy—for the Party, the State, and the people.”
