Trump is scheduled to announce on Thursday his decision on the deal, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was signed by the US, Russia, the UK, France, China, and Germany. Other signatories continue to view the deal as an achievement despite Trump’s repeated criticisms of it as “the worst deal ever.” If Trump pulls out of the deal, the US Senate will have 60 days to consider to whether reimpose sanctions on Tehran or not. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani criticized Trump for opposing the world to abandon the nuclear deal.
