This year’s Europe Day marks the 76th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, the document that laid the foundation for European integration after World War II. On this occasion, EU leaders highlighted the spirit of solidarity and the shared values that Europe has pursued for decades.

As Europe faces mounting pressures ranging from security conflicts and economic difficulties to global geopolitical competition, EU leaders said this year’s Europe Day is an opportunity to reinforce public confidence in the European integration project. A recent survey by the European Commission shows that nearly 73% of respondents feel their countries benefits from EU membership, while 75% identify as EU citizens, matching record-high levels.
