Removing border controls between Spain and Gibraltar, a British overseas territory, will make travel easier for people on both sides of the border.
The European Commission said the agreement follows years of negotiations after Britain left the EU in 2020. Its aim is to ensure the free movement of people, support cross-border trade, and address issues arising from Gibraltar's status outside the EU's legal framework following Brexit.
