Tran Ngoc Quan, Vietnam’s Trade Counsellor in Belgium and the EU, said the trade office is currently focusing on 3 key initiatives: the “Vietnam International Sourcing” program to be organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in September; Vietnam’s first participation in European Hydrogen Week in Brussels in October; and the organization of overseas Vietnamese business delegations from the Flanders and Wallonia regions to attend green economy events in Vietnam in October and November.
These activities are part of the “Vietnamese Roadshow” program to promote Vietnam as a dynamic, innovative economy that’s deeply integrated into the global market.
On the sidelines of the seminar, Julie Mochamps, a representative of Forward Global, said that, with many European companies seeking to diversify their supply chains, Vietnam is emerging as an attractive destination thanks to its innovation capacity and rapid development in new technology sectors.
She praised Vietnam’s achievements in international economic integration, noting that Vietnam has signed 19 free trade agreements and continues to improve its investment climate, drawing growing interest from the international business community.
