Speaking at a meeting on Tuesday with Swedish State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dag Hartelius who is visiting Vietnam and co-chairing of the second Vietnam–Sweden Deputy Foreign Minister-level Political Consultation, Minister Trung proposed that the two sides improve the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms while exploring new frameworks to promote collaboration in science, research, culture, and education.
Dag Hartelius expressed Sweden’s desire to expand research cooperation and welcome more Vietnamese researchers and students to study and conduct research in Sweden. He also affirmed Sweden’s readiness to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in innovation, high technology, and cybersecurity.
Both sides agreed to make effective use of the Strategic Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation to implement concrete projects in healthcare, energy, green transition, and sustainable development.
