First tra fish fair in Hanoi helps expand overseas market

(VOVWORLD) -40 tra fish (pangasius) producers and exporters will promote their products at the first “Tra fish and seafood Fair” in Hanoi this week.

The 3-day event, starting on Friday, is expected to help businesses access greater markets at home and abroad.

Tran Dinh Luan, Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Fisheries, told VOV: “Vietnam’s tra fish production process has met international standards. Our tra fish has been made available in 140 countries and territories. We have invited trade counselors from potential importers to the fair”.

There will be symposiums on developing sustainable tra fish production chains and the domestic seafood market.
