The statement was made by Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday. In response to questions about the US administration’s consideration of participating in the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (CPTPP), Hang said the CPTPP is a trade deal open to other economies even after it takes effect based on the acceptance of the deal’s standards and its members’ consensus.
