The three films are “Road Back to Motherland” (1971) by director Bui Dinh Hac; "The Secret List" (1977) by director Vu Pham Tu; and “Chom and Sa” (1978) by director Pham Ky Nam.
Although the films were made at different times, they share a common theme: war seen through the lives of ordinary people. The stories of soldiers, civilians, and secret operatives depict the courage and personal sacrifice of the generations who lived through the war.
The three films were selected from the Vietnam Film Institute’s archive and will be screened for free at Ngoc Khanh Cinema in Hanoi.
