According to the Provincial Military Command, as of Friday, local authorities had recovered 36 sets of martyrs’ remains, including seven discovered overseas.

They have also conducted excavations at 79 of the province’s 119 martyrs’ cemeteries and completed sample collection at 65 cemeteries. To date, more than 2,050 samples have been handed over to the Military Institute of Forensic Medicine for DNA analysis.

The province has established 16 teams to collect samples at 16 martyrs’ cemeteries and is striving to excavate 300 to 400 graves per day.
