Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the terminal to apply the advances of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in modernizing its production, cargo delivery, and logistics services to reduce marine transportation costs and logistics costs for enterprises.

The first container is unloaded at the terminal, May 13, 2018.

He said that the terminal will increase the competitiveness of Vietnam’s goods and stimulate the growth of the deep-water port system and logistics activities in Vietnam’s northern region.

Mr. Phuc thanked the Japanese government and people for supporting the project.
