Inspired by the imperial citadel of Thang Long, the train evokes memories of Hanoi’s five historic city gates: Quan Chuong, Cau Den, Cau Giay, Cho Dua, and Dong Mac.
It officially entered regular operation in September last year and currently runs an average of one trip per day along the route Hanoi Station – Tu Son Station – Long Bien Station – Hanoi Station.
More than a sightseeing experience, the train offers passengers an immersive cultural journey. Traditional Vietnamese art forms, including Quan Ho folk singing, Ca Tru ceremonial singing, Cheo popular opera, and Xam folk music, are performed onboard, turning each trip into a moving cultural stage.
At Tu Son Station, visitors can explore Do Temple, dedicated to the eight emperors of the Ly Dynasty, which ruled Vietnam from the 11th to the early 13th century.
