To date, many communes and wards have achieved a coverage rate exceeding 95%, and the city aims to complete the screenings before September 4.
To ensure the effective implementation, Hanoi has mobilized 168 medical facilities that meet legal requirements for medical examination and treatment. These facilities are capable of creating new records, updating data, and synchronizing information with the city's electronic health record system and the Ministry of Health's shared platforms.
The cost of the check-ups is covered by the city budget, in accordance with social welfare policies for the capital's residents.
“The Department of Health and local authorities direct qualified medical facilities to collaborate with local health stations in conducting health check-ups for children at their schools, so as to ensure maximum convenience for parents and students. We are also fully committed to ensuring the quality of these examinations in accordance with Ministry of Health regulations,” said Deputy Director Vu Cao Cuong.
Hanoi has over 2.2 million children and students studying in more than 4,700 educational institutions—ranging from preschools to high schools and multi-level schools—who are receiving free health check-ups.
