The event was attended by Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and 130 exemplary wounded veterans.

Hanoi has the largest number of national contributors in Vietnam, totaling more than 800,000, accounting for nearly 10% of the national figure. Among them are more than 80,000 fallen soldiers and 60,000 war invalids.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, called for stronger support policies.

“I propose that relevant agencies advise the city on specific mechanisms and policies for Hanoi, with support levels and standards that may exceed those set at the national level,” he said.

On this occasion, city leaders visited and presented more than 110,000 gifts to policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious service to the nation.
