Bai Choi singing is performed at the 2018 Huyen Tran Temple festival. Bai Choi was recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2017.

The two iconic figures made significant contributions to Vietnam’s construction and defense during the Tran dynasty between the 13th and 14th century.

“I come here not only to pay tribute to our King Tran Nhan Tong and Princess Huyen Tran but also pray for peace, health, and happiness,” said Hue resident Le Thi Minh Loan.

The festival features the reenactment of a welcome ceremony for Princess Huyen Tran, traditional martial art performances, lion dances, and folk games. The event is held on the 678th death anniversary of the princess.
