In the first seven months of 2026, international visitors totaled nearly 14 million, up 13.8%. The tourism industry has achieved 56% of its yearly target of welcoming 25 million international visitors.

The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism believes that maintaining double-digit growth reflects the strong attractiveness of Vietnam as a destination. Policies facilitating visa procedures, expanding air connectivity, and improving the quality of tourism products and services have paid off, it said.

China continues to be Vietnam's largest source market with 3.1 million visitors, accounting for 22% of total international tourists. South Korea ranks second with 2.4 million visitors and Russia maintains its third position. Europe is a bright spot market with an average year-on-year increase in visitors.

In Asia, the Philippines continues to lead in terms of visitor growth to Vietnam with a 63.6% increase. In addition, long-haul markets also see stable growth, with the United States expanding over 18%, Canada 25%, Australia by 22.5%, and New Zealand 22.4%.
