He urged the locality to continue effectively implementing preferential policies for people with meritorious services, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, severely wounded war invalids, and elderly contributors, striving to ensure that all beneficiary families have living standards equal to or higher than the community average.

Also on Monday, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai visited 320 policy beneficiary families and poor households in Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces. She called on local the authorities to continue improving the material and cultural lives of the people with meritorious services to the nation.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Tran Duc Thang and city leaders presented 60 gift packages to policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged workers in Kien Hung ward, with each gift worth 2.5 million VND. Do Minh De, a policy beneficiary in Kien Hung ward said: “I am very honored to receive this gift from the Party and the city. I sincerely thank the city leaders for their care and support.”

Phan Thi Thu, an employee of Proco Construction Consultancy and Trading Joint Stock Company, said: “I feel truly being cared for and deeply moved. I sincerely thank the State and the authorities for these meaningful gifts.”
